Sorry, It’s Been a While

I think for many they have thought we have disappeared. We even wondered ourselves a bit.
A few things have changed since our last posting, to say the least. I’ll stack a few of them here for whomever cares to read it. And before I go further, if you are one of those who care… thanks. Thank you for caring, more than you know.
Our family has been through a considerable amount of change, for almost two years now. And since our last post back sometime in February, there has been a few more.
We left Arkansas with the full intention of returning to Hawaii. We visited family for a while before leaving. And that’s where we still are, for the moment.
Along the way, Sumi didn’t feel very comfortable with going all the way back to Hawaii, since she has a five year window of follow ups and check ups with her doctors to make sure everything is good. Sumi was much more comfortable with staying somewhat near to her doctors at UAMS, for obvious reasons. So we decided not to return to Hawaii, and to make a new home for ourselves here on the mainland.
The place we have chosen… Franklin, Tennessee… a charming town just south of Nashville.
Who would have thought… Aloha Howdy, a mix of Hawaiian and Southern, starting out in the heart of Aloha in Honolulu, and now beginning the next chapter of our lives headed for the heart of the South, in Nashville. Kind of strange how things work out sometimes.
Sumi has been writing a book. Its a great book. Very touching, very heart-warming… a lot of it based on what she has went through, and much of what we have been through over the last two years. The girl has been at it for months, 10 to 12 hours a day, seven days a week. I do know that I am a bit biased on my opinion of things concerning Sumi, but that aside, it is a wonderful book. We will keep you guys updated as things progress with it.
Sorry to have been gone for so long, but with all of the changes in plans that had long been made, its taking us a while to get things headed in a new direction.

You have been in motion since last I read your update.
Many people from the forum have asked about you.
Isn’t wonderful that when you feel comfortable with what you interpreted to be God’s command, he tosses out an other option to you. Sometimes I wonder if he just wants to know if you are listening
Franklin Tennessee seems like a great place to spend some time while in the 5 year waiting period. My ancestors migrated through Tennessee and probably left a few there that share my surname.
When that time comes that Sumi has the “all clear” , and I know it will, who knows what the next calling will be. Perhaps it will be ‘Look about you…… you are at home’
